1 3/8" Black Magnetic Zipper Closure Material has magnets ultrasonically welded into it with 1 magnet every 1 centimeter.

The magnetic zipper tape opens down the center by pulling the two sides apart and will magnetize back together when the two sides get close to each other. These magnet zippers can be sewn in a variety of applications including apparel, accessories, industrial, or medical.
